I grew up like most kids listening to whatever their parents were into. Capitol Gold was always on the radio and introduced me to a range of classic songs.
Simon and Garfunkel gave me my first vocal interest and this developed further whilst singing in the shower.
By my teens I was bang into detroit techno, Jeff Mills, The Advent and Plastikman. I spent a lot of time clubbing and raving and this introduced me to music festivals and live bands.
Music has great emotional value, is very therapeutic and the best form of expression. Groups like Pink Floyd, Counting Crows and Neil Young showed me what passion can be achieved.
More recently I have been impressed with Jeff Buckley and Turin Brakes because of their vocal genius.
When the band formed on 22nd September 2000 and I started singing I didn't know what to expect. As it happens we got on great and have many differing influences. We haven't looked back.
So onwards, onwards! And long may it continue!
